Ok... I love sangría. (My White Sangría with Peaches made an appearance on Blue Lemon a while back.) Even if I weren't a hispanophile I would still love sangría. It's red wine (traditionally) with all the fruity goodness of white wine - the best of both worlds, if you ask me. And it's incredibly easy to make. In Spain every bar and café has its own homemade sangría sitting in jugs on the counter. So here's the recipe at Café Ana...
Juice of 2 oranges, freshly squeezed
Juice of 1 lemon, freshly squeezed
Juice of 1 grapefruit, freshly squeezed (which I didn't have, so I cheated)
3 t. raw sugar
It's as easy as opening the wine, juicing the fruit, pouring everything into a jug and stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
