Greetings from Martha's Vineyard

We made it and are now official residents of Martha's Vineyard.

I think I climbed the stairs about 500 times yesterday unpacking our cars which, of course, made me very hungry. As a welcome to the island surprise, my friend left us sandwiches from 7a Foods in the fridge. The spring vegetable sandwich with watercress, asparagus, peas, leeks, and whipped ricotta on ciabatta bread was killer. I couldn't think up a finer welcome myself.

Dylan loves "banana milk" (cup of whole milk, an inch of banana, dash of cinnamon, and vanilla whizzed in the blender) so we visited The Grey Barn to pick up cream top milk and try to spy on the baby animals. I particularly wanted to admire Fat Sally's new piglets but no such luck. Ps. How funny is their cow placenta to the face story? That is no joke.

Then we cleared the garden of any ripe strawberries and wondered when it'll hit us that we live here.

  1. Best of luck getting settled. The hard part is over, the decision to actually move. I'm not that brave. Beautiful photos!

  2. here's to an easy move- the cows look like lovely neighbors!! love your photos and kind words :) xxo
